June 29, 2008

Ugh...the way things are going, I should probably just change the updates to Sunday and be done with it. I swear, next weekend, we'll get back on schedule.

I have good excuses this week, though. On Friday, I hosted a public reading of a play that I wrote several years ago, so that took up most of the evening. The reading was held at the Attic Books & Coffee here in Green Bay, and was sponsored by the Fortis Theatre Company, for which I serve as Artistic Director (a job for which I am woefully unqualified, but don't tell them that!).

Then on Saturday, I spent the majority of the afternoon recording narration for a project that is being produced by Coin-Op Films, a production company started by myself, and my close friends Brandon Johnson and Jenni Fabry. The project we were working on yesterday was for the Butterflies & Friends on Parade public art project sponsored by the Einstein Project. It's going up on their website, and it'll be the first thing produced by Coin-Op, so we're very excited.

As an aside, we're almost done with our first film, titled The Four Seasons of Children and Death. The film was written by Brandon, and is comprised of four short films, each of with cover a different season. I directed the Fall segment (cleverly titled Fall, and the film is ostensibly done. We just have a couple of insert shots to shoot yet, and then it's off to the composer so he can do the score.

Anyway, that's my long-winded explanation of why the comic is once again late. I apologize, and I'll do my best not to let it happen again next week.
